Letter Head In ERPNext
In ERPNext, a Letter Head is used to display your company’s branding—like the name, logo, and address—at the top of documents such as invoices, quotations, and purchase orders. It gives your documents a professional and consistent appearance. Each company can set a default Letter Head, which is automatically applied to all print formats unless changed manually.
The Letter Head master allows you to design the header (and optionally the footer) using simple HTML or by uploading an image. These headers are shown only on printed or PDF documents, not on-screen. The rest of the document layout is managed through Print Formats and Print Headings, which handle the structure, labels, and additional details of the document.
1. How to Create a Letter Head in ERPNext

1. Select: “Letter Head” → “New Letter Head”
Go to the module by clicking:
Home > Settings > Letter Head > New
This opens the form to create a new letter head.

Only one letter head can be default at a time.
