BOM Operations Time
To view the BOM Operations Time, navigate to:
This report gives a summary of the overall expected time needed to finish all the operations detailed in the Bill of Materials to produce a certain finished product. The expected time is in minutes and is computed from the operation time established in the BOM against every workstation and operation.
Most important features of this report are
Total Operation Time: Shows the total amount of time needed to perform all operations that have been defined in a BOM. This allows tight capacity management, scheduling, and awareness of the total time it takes to make a certain product.
Usage of Subassembly: The report also indicates the count of how many times a particular BOM is used in other BOMs as a sub-assembly. This is useful in determining high-use sub-assemblies and their contribution to the overall production network.
Time Comparison Across BOMs: Users can compare the times taken by various BOMs to operate and determine bottlenecks or time-consuming stages in the manufacturing process.
Efficiency Monitoring: Through frequent review of this report, production managers are able to examine if operation times are aligned with actual job accomplishment and apply the information to streamline workstations, shift scheduling, and labor distribution.
This report plays a vital role in enhancing production efficiency, scheduling reliability, and production of manufacturing orders according to the production timeline specified in each BOM.
