Project Update
The Project Update is the official status report which can be provided to all the stakeholders of a project. It provides a means by which project teams are able to communicate progressively, decisions, milestones, and critical issues in an effective manner that will ensure that there is transparency and alignment between teams and clients. ERPNext v15 builds upon this feature and adds more control to notification as well as stakeholder interaction.

1.1 Additional Details
By extending the records within the User child table, you'll have the following added controls in ERPNext v15:
Send Welcome Email: You can opt to send a welcome email with personalized content to a user the very first time they are created as a Project Update recipient. It can include login information or details of accessing project data through the portal.
Attachment Access: Within this update you can specify whether or not a user is supposed to view attachments of the project. This comes in handy in the aspect of security and confidentiality particularly to the outside world or clients.
Project Status Field: This is a field that is defined with drop-down options in which you can choose or input the latest status of the project e.g., "On Track," "At Risk," or "Delayed" and get immediate insight into project health overall.
