Quality Review
Added in Version 12
Quality Review is an official document of performance relative to set Quality Goals at periodic intervals. It provides a unified way to measure compliance with quality standards, measure the process of goal achievement, and ensure consistency between processes. Quality Reviews are used as control points to verify that the product is complete, that the product is of quality and that the product is as per the expectations of the customers.
To access the Quality Review list, go to:
1. Prerequisites
Before creating and using a Quality Review, the following is advised to do first:
2. How to Develop a Quality Review
- Select New from the list of Quality Reviews.
- Choose a Quality Goal to be reviewed. This connects the review to set targets.
- In the Review section of the Reviews table, record observations and judgments against each Quality Objective. Each review entry may include comments, compliance status, and references to supporting documents or inspections.
- Include any pertinent information in the Additional Information section, such as notes, comments, or evidence that supports the review outcome.
- Save
Note: Where the Quality Procedure is connected to the Quality Goal, it will be automatically annexed to the Quality Review such that reviews may be conducted with recurrent reference to approved procedures.
3. Features
- Periodic Auto-Creation: Provided that a frequency of review is stated in the associated Quality Goal, ERPNext will auto-create Quality Reviews at those frequencies. Every auto-created review will have its status as "Open."
- Role-based Responsibility: Specific users (e.g., a Quality Manager) can be tasked with Reviews to hold them accountable.
- Status Tracking: Quality Reviews are progressed through statuses like Open, In Progress, and Closed to give insight into outstanding and finished audits.
- Linking Documents: Reviews can be referenced against inspections, procedures, or other quality documents to have a full trail.
4. Next Steps
After you have completed doing a Quality Review, you may construct a Quality Action against that to capture preventive or corrective actions. Actions can be assigned to accountable staff, monitored for completion, and reviewed later for effectiveness. Connecting actions to reviews guarantees that problems found are not only written down but also fixed, hence continuous improvement.
