Maintenance

In the current version of ERPNext, the Maintenance module is an essential factor to ensure long-term system performance and customer happiness. Two major parts of this module Maintenance Schedule and Maintenance Visit are designed to make the post-sales service, preventive maintenance checkup and the system maintenance of physical goods and software services simpler.

The Maintenance Schedule enables service providers to plan and note periodical servicing or system checks on a proactive basis based on product warranties, service level agreements (SLAs), or custom terms. The schedules can be automatically generated from delivery note or sales invoice information so that all customers are provided with timely maintenance without manual tracking.

The Maintenance Visit, however, records each visit made by a service team member—either remote or on-site—yielding details about the issue resolved, steps taken, replaced parts, and customer comment. It offers transparency and traceability for every service transaction and enables building trust and accountability with customers.

In conjunction, these tools enable organizations to maintain a working ERP system--or other products that are supported--operational, secure, compliant and optimized business needs across its life cycle. As it has automation, email-based notifications, task assignment, and reporting tools, ERPNext allows to streamlining everyday maintenance and ensuring it does not overlook any important deadlines or service obligations.
