1. Things you need to do first

You must set up the following things in your system before you create an Appraisal Template so that the setup flows smoothly and the links work properly:

  • KRA (Key Result Areas): is a master file containing the major objectives, quantifiable results, and strategic goals that workers should achieve. KRAs help ensure that everyone's work is aligned with the overall mission and vision of the business.

  • Employee Feedback Criteria: A set of guidelines that informs employees how they will be assessed on their performance and conduct throughout the Performance Feedback and Self-Appraisal process. This ensures that the assessment will be equitable and consists of both outcomes and competencies.

2. How to create a template for an appraisal

  • Click on the list of Appraisal Templates and choose New.

  • Enter a title for the template. This can be arranged to correspond to the **Department or Designation for which you are creating the template. This facilitates easy access and keeping track of numerous templates.

  • You may add a description to indicate what this template is used for or what it entails. This can assist HR departments and managers in selecting the appropriate template for appraisals.

  • Add the KRAs (Key Result Areas) and what percentage they are worth. This indicates how much each KRA contributes towards the overall performance score, so you target the most critical ones.
