Setting up Human Resources

  • You make the masters for all the main operations in the HR module's setup procedure.

    • Setting Up the Organisation

You need to make the following things before you can set up your Employee master:

  • Type of job (permanent, temporary, contractor, intern, etc.).

  • Branch (if there are more than one office).

  • Department, if there is one, such as Accounting, Sales, etc.

  • Position (CEO, Sales Manager, etc.).

  • Grade (A, B, C, etc., usually depending on how long someone has been there).

  • For more information on each of the masters, global HR settings, and other settings, see Setup.

To set up Leaves, do the following:

  • Type of leave (like sick leave, travel leave, etc.)

  • Holiday List: a list of the year's holidays (these days will not be counted as Leave Applications)

  • Leave Policy to keep track of and manage employee leaves across the firm in a useful way

Setting Up Payroll (Salary)

  • In Frappe HR, salaries contain two sorts of components, earnings (base salary, costs paid by the firm, like telephone bill, travel allowance etc) and deductions (amounts deducted for taxes, social security etc). You may make salary structures and give them to employees, and Frappe HR takes care of much of the payroll work for you.

  • In Salary and Payroll, you can learn more about how to set up your payroll and how Frappe HR makes payroll processing easier.

  • Setting Up Income Tax Deduction will help you learn how to set up Frappe HR to automatically figure out Income Tax deductions based on more than one Salary Slab. Hiring

  • Businesses need to prepare ahead for when they will need to hire more workers. With Frappe HR, you may set up hiring plans for the whole group of companies. Subsidiary firms can generate and publicise job openings based on the group company plans, making it easier to manage your hiring process. Check Staffing Plan to see how you can put this up.

  • If you have an active Staffing Plan, Frappe HR will check the open positions and the number of people currently employed against the Staffing Plan every time you make a new Job Opening.
