1. Things you must have

Before you can make use of the Salary Structure Assignment Tool, you must have the proper documents.

Worker

Check that all of your employees are in the system and that they are linked to the right Company, Department, and Branch. Make sure their join dates are right and that they are marked as active.

The Pay Plan

Be precise about how to create and withdraw money, how to calculate the pay structures, and which taxes to remit. Also, every structure must have the correct Currency and Pay Frequency (e.g., weekly, monthly, etc.).

2. How to use the Salary Structure Assignment Tool to share Salary Structures

  • Select a corporation if you have not done so already.

  • It should also possess its own default Payroll Payable Account.

  • The selected company maintains a record of which staff are available for work and how the payroll details are posted into the accounting system.

  • Select the payment plan you would like to employ.Within that setup, it will determine how often payments are made and what currency is used.

  • Ensure the Salary Structure has all the correct components, amounts, and methods to pay individuals.

  • Select a date to begin distributing the Salary Structure.

  • This will involve all the employees in the Select Employees table below that do not have a Salary Structure Assignment on this date.

  • You can sort out employees by their date of join, category of job, or any other field you include in the Employee Doctype.

  • If all seems well, press the Assign Structure button.Depending on what you provide it, ERPNext will create Salary Structure Assignment records for all the employees you select automatically.They will detail how each individual is being paid, what the various components of their remuneration are, and which tax rates they are subject to from the given date onwards.

  • Then you can view or edit any task in the Salary Structure Assignment List.That way, it is simpler to monitor payroll and modify it.
