Organization Chart
The Organization's Chart
An organizational chart shows how a firm works by showing the names, titles, and profile images of its employees and how they interact with each other. This shows people how the workforce is arranged and how teams are linked. In big companies where it's hard to remember names and reporting lines, ERPNext's dynamic organizational chart makes it easy for employees to know who is in charge of what. This is done with text and pictures, like profile pictures.
To see the Employee Grade, go to
The "Reports To" portion of the Employee master makes up the organizational chart. The people at the top of the chart don't have a boss. This helps you picture what it might be like to run a department, business unit, or department.
The chart's horizontal extension in desktop view makes it easy to visualize complicated team setups with more than one level next to each other.
The graphic provides a lot of information about each employee node, such as
The name of the employee (as it is listed in the employee master record)
A picture of you on your profile so that other people may find you
Your present job title at the company is "Designation."
The total number of linkages shows how many direct and indirect descendants each employee in the hierarchy has.
It's easy to understand how big each employee node's team is and how far their management can go because the number of connections is set up automatically.
Also, each node has an Edit button that takes the user to the Employee Master form for that employee. You can simply update reporting ties, employee data, or job names without leaving the chart interface.
As you go around the chart, the active hierarchy is highlighted, which makes it easy to see what part of the firm you are looking at. This makes it easy to see how personnel at different levels get along and how reporting lines work.
If you have more than one company, ERPNext also has a Company filter that lets you see how those businesses are set up.
This is especially useful for businesses that work in more than one area or have more than one legal entity because each business may have its own way of reporting.
*The most recent version of ERPNext has added elements to the organizational chart that make it easier to use and more useful.
